PST file is the data storage format provided by Microsoft Outlook. Outlook stores PST file on your hard disk. In addition to the PST file, the archived messages are stored in an archive.pst file in archive data folders that also resides on your hard disk. The PST file is located by default in “Local settings\Application Data\Microsoft Outlook” subfolder within your profile for Windows XP and 2003 computers. This location may be different with every version of Outlook and differ with version of operating system. When you are using Outlook with Exchange server the location of the PST file is different and is not stored on the hard drive. The PST file is stored on the server and network administrator may backup it often. The PST file that is stored on your hard disk may corrupt due to spyware attack, failure of the information storage device, defects in network devices, inappropriate shutdown of the system or improper exit of the application, using third party utilities to divide the large .pst file etc. Using best tool to undelete PST file from hard disk is the right solution.

Every Outlook item has many properties that define the data for that particular item. There are default properties provided with each item and are always defined for an item for eg.,such as Subject or Body for an email. Outlook users are allowed to add properties to items either from program code or user interface. These user properties are called named properties.

In order to reduce the chances of corruption of .pst file, delete all the unused emails and backup important emails along with attributes. You can even encrypt and set the password for the protection of the .pst files. You may use third party tool to divide the large PST file. Sometimes this process may fail that leads to permanent data loss rather than dividing large PST file. Hence, it is suggested to clean your Outlook profile by deleting unwanted emails and thereby PST file may not reach maximum size limit. Compact the PST file, which helps reclaim the unused space of PST file. Avoid sending bulk email messages at a time, which may slow process of Outlook. If you have more email messages with attachments, store all these attachments in a safe place by taking backup of them. When you recognize that you have lost Outlook items from Outlook.pst file, do not save or install any files on your hard disk. This may overwrite the deleted or lost data with new data, which makes recovery impossible.

Remo Recover (Windows) Basic edition helps to recover deleted or lost Outlook data from hard disk. This tool recovers files from hard drives, USB drives, FireWire drives, flash memory cards etc. This tool sorts the recovered files based on name, size, date and file type. This utility recovers deleted or lost data from hard drive in few minutes. You are able to preview recovered data when you download demo version of the software. You can evaluate recovery chances of the tool by previewing recovered data.

Deleted files from your Mac OS X hard drive? Did you empty the Trash Bin? Later you recognized the significance of the deleted files, but unable to get them back, this is a common mistake made by any Mac user, which causes serious file loss situations.

Stop using your Mac machine right away after occurrence of the file loss. Continuous use of the Mac machine decreases the chances of file recovery. Keep the following things in mind while trying to recover deleted files Mac:

If the files are deleted and Trash Bin is not emptied, you can restore the files out of Trash to its original location.

If you have emptied Trash Bin folder after the files are deleted, it needs third-party recovery tools to recover those files.

If the Trash Bin is emptied using the “Secure Empty Trash” option in Mac OS X 10.3 and later versions, the files cannot recovered.

When you click ‘Empty Trash’ option, Mac OS X simply removes directory entries of those files on the hard drive, instead of the actual files.

Know that after deletion, the disk space occupied by those deleted files, is marked as available and can be used by other newly created files. You can restore deleted photos, files and other data until and unless they are being overwritten by other files.

Avoid using the system. If you continue using the Mac machine after file deletion and emptying Trash Bin, the possibility of file overwriting increases. For guaranteed recovery of missing, lost, and deleted files from Mac OS X hard drive, use third-party Mac disk data recovery application.

Digital cameras have been a revolution in the world of photography. Digital cameras have made the photography process so simple and affordable, that millions of photos are being captured every single day, by users all over the world. While amateur photographers make use of low end digital cameras, professional photographers make use of high end DSLR cameras for capturing images.

DSLR cameras are high end cameras, which are capable of producing high quality images, due to the advanced optics that is made use of in these cameras. Unlike the low end digital cameras that produce images in formats like JPEG, JPG, TIFF etc., DSLR cameras make use of customized image formats depending on the manufacturer like, Canon makes use of CR2 and CRW image formats and Sony makes use of ARW and SR2 formats.

Though there is a difference in the type of camera, and the quality of the images produced, there is no difference in the storage device used by these two types of cameras. Both types of cameras make use of flash memory card for storage of data, and hence chances of data loss are high in both the cases. RAW image photo recovery needs to be done with extra care, as the image files are large in size, and every minute detail need to be recovered.

RAW image file recovery is made easy with REMO Recover (Windows) Media Edition software. This digital photo recovery software lets you recover RAW image files of different formats like CRW, CR2, NEF, ARW, RAW, 3FR, MRW, ORF and SR2. The data recovery software also lets you recover audio and video files of all well known formats from hard drives, USB drives and flash memory cards.

All your library information and the photos, are stored by iPhoto in a separate library folder. When photos are imported, they get copied into the library folder, where thay are managed and organized in a proper manner.

You can just use iPhoto’s interface to manage your photos, and you don’t even need to look inside the iPhoto library folder itself. However, in some cases, especially if you encounter problems with your iPhoto library, it can be useful to know a little bit more about what goes on inside the library folder.

There are sometimes when your iPhoto can, for some reason or another, become corrupt and unable to use. Various symptoms including, your photos not showing up properly (e.g. showing up as gray or black squares), the library becoming unusually slow, or iPhoto crashing as soon as you try to open your library. iPhoto library does provide certain built-in rebuild functions to restore iPhoto library, but you require a professional data recovery software to restore iPhoto library to the fullest.

REMO Recover (Mac) Media Edition software lets you restore iPhoto library with ease. The software lets you recover photos of all well known formats, from both HFS and HFS+ volumes.

A memory card is a device which offers an easy, fast and reliable way for storing and transferring all kinds of digital files. It works like a portable hard drive but comes with some superior advantages, since almost every memory card is based on flash memory technology, and the absence of moving parts makes flash memory cards much more durable and reliable than hard drives. They come in different sizes and shapes depending on the manufacturer and the various storage capacities.

Memory cards are widely used in digital cameras, game consoles, cell phones, and industrial applications. Today’s choices in flash memory storage devices for digital cameras and other devices are mind-boggling. The fact that there are all kinds of memory storage options like Smart Media (SM), Compact Flash (CF), Memory Stick (MS), Multimedia Card (MMC), Secure Digital (SD), extreme Digital (XD), Micro drive etc. leaves the user completely helpless as to which one to choose.

Like hard drives, memory cards too face loss of data. The reasons for data loss in a memory card are no different from that of a hard drive, and memory card recovery is very much similar to hard drive recovery. Memory card data recovery can be done efficiently using REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software. Memory card recovery is made easy by the easy-to-use interface of the software. In addition to this, the software also lets you recover data from lost/deleted partitions.

The iPod is a premium product designed and marketed by Apple. The product line-up is diverse, starting from the compact iPod shuffle to the latest third generation iPod Touch. The iPod line can play several audio file formats including mp3, aac, wav, etc. The iPod Photo introduced the ability to display JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, and PNG image file formats. Fifth and sixth generation iPod Classic, as well as third generation iPod Nano, can additionally play MPEG-4 (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC) and QuickTime video formats, with restrictions on video dimensions, encoding techniques and data-rates.

Some of the common errors you might face during the usage of your iPod can be summarized as follows,

Loss of photos, music and videos from the iPod, due to accidental deletion, virus attacks, sabotage etc.

The iPod may pop up error messages like, “Failed to locate supported file types or there are no photos found on this device”, or “Disk is locked”.

The iPod freezes up, not allowing you to navigate it.

Hardware shows an exclamation point with a folder icon.

The problems given above are quite common among iPod users, but there is nothing to worry, as long as there is a good data recovery software that can recover deleted iPod files. REMO Recover (Windows) Media Edition software lets you recover deleted iPod files with utmost ease.

REMO has positioned themselves as the leading data recovery company in the world. This was primarily a result of their worldwide reputation for data recovery from physically damaged hard disks. However over the last several years REMO has developed a suite of superb data recovery tools that allow many file recovery problem to be solved by users at a considerable financial savings. Of these programs we are spotlighting five of the best.

REMO Mac Data Recovery Software will easily find and restore files lost in partitions using the proprietary HFS+, HFSX file systems on Mac OS X. If your Apple partition map is corrupted it can be restored. Of course the program handles quick and easy recovery of accidentally deleted files on Macs as well. An interesting not is that REMO Mac Recovery software ail also retrieve lost files on Apple universal application that may be installed on your Mac computer.
The REMO Windows Data Recovery Software is the most powerful of its kind in existence. Dozens of companies make programs to recover lost files and partitions on windows but none of them will rescue as much data form as many different file types as REMO.

Everyone who owns a digital camera has a one time or another inadvertently deleted a smart card or inboard memory full of pictures. It is not a happy experience. However REMO has a powerful photo recovery tool just for rescuing these types of files. REMO Digital Media Recovery Software will restore deleted files on a Compact Flash Card (CF), Smart Media Card, Secure Digital Card (SD), Multi-Media Card (MMC) and XD Picture Card (XD). The program will even recover RAW camera file from cameras made by the top high-end manufacturers. A fabulous by product of this software is that it will also recover lost or deleted files MP4 players as well!

REMO Undelete is the best-deleted file recovery software ever made. The program uses a wizard style interface so that anyone can follow a few simple steps and in minutes locate deleted files on their PC. This includes files emptied from the Windows recycle bin. Emails seem to be forever being misplaced. Sometimes we scratch our heads and simply wonder where they went. In truth most emails are accidentally deleted as with the majority of other lost files. But Outlook emails can actually delete themselves. Simple scanning and decompression of Outlook emails often results in their being damaged and lost. REMO Recover Outlook pst Software will quickly find these lost messages for you and save them to a disk or other media.

Outlook express is a darned nice little email system. It uses clean Windows, has some nice tools built in like spell check, and it costs absolutely nothing. Outlook Express comes bundled with Internet Explorer, the most widely used internet browser in the universe. But, the Express sometimes gets derailed when important emails and postings come up lost. This occurs when emails are sent over a questionable network or when files are compacted. It can even happen during a virus scan such as that used by Yahoo Mail. These emessages are never lost forever, when one has on their computer the Outlook Express Recovery Program from REMO. This simple to use drag and drop utility will scan hard drives and networks for any and all corrupted Outlook Express files and put them back on track.

Have you ever run a bank statement or credit card bill through a file shredder? The narrow strips of paper recovered make excellent packing material but in no way make your bank account or credit card numbers safe from theft. Some Scotch tape and a bit of patience could easily piece together your private records. If one truly wanted to destroy those records beyond recognition, the paper would have to be placed into a machine known as a confetti shredder. And, even then, the pieces may not be small enough to prevent reconstruction. Digital data faces the same problems as does printed information. In order to be made secure or permanently deleted, it must be broken down to the smallest particle possible. That is the purpose and function of the REMO file shredder.

This excellent data eraser program utilizes a variety of shredding patterns to rip digital information stored in files and folders down to a collection of their base components. Once the REMO file eraser has been used, the information can never be recovered or stolen.
